Notes from the Umpires

It is wonderful to be back racing Bumps again. The Chief Umpires would like to
extend a huge thank you to everyone who has made this possible.
Crews should carry on rowing upon being bumped until they are clear of the
bumping boat. Failure to do so puts your own cox in danger.
It is the responsibility of all coxes to know where their finish is, and ensure
they wind down once their whole boat has passed it.
Please remind bank parties that handheld filming is not allowed. They much use
a handlebar mount or hemlet mount or similar if they'd like to film the races
whilst cycling.
Bank parties are strictly limited to three cyclists.
Only one member of each crew's bank party should approach Control or the Chief
Umpires at a time.
Please remind bank parties to be aware of members of the public who have every
right to use the towpath during the races. There are new hazards around the new
footbridge, where members of the public may be joining the towpath without
being aware of the race in progress, so please take care to avoid collisions
with them.
A credit card was handed in at Control. If anyone in your club has lost one,
please let us know.
