I´m trying to install XS but CPAN install bails with the following error:
I have compiled perl without threads, no difference.

Running make test
Can't test without successful make
Running make install
make had returned bad status, install seems impossible
This makes the install of Gtk impossible and so on.
GCC i 3.3
OS is Solaris 8
GNU make
Perl is 5.8.3
