The urllist is yours. You can add and remove sites at will. You should find out which sites have the best uptodateness, bandwidth, uptime, reliability, etc. and are topologically close to you or whatever your criteria for a good CPAN site are. Some people prefer fast downloads, others uptodateness, others reliability. You decide which to try in which order. Do not forget to visit http://www.cs.uu.nl/people/henkp/mirmon/cpan.html to get the help you need to decide. It would be an interesting task (and far beyond my current schedules) to write an application to measure quality for a set of sites and construct a urllist that is optimized for some specific preferences. -- andreas
