Odd problem with File::Remote

I wrote a script that checks for updated files at McAfee, fetches them if there are any and then copies them to various places. The script is running on a Solaris box:

uname -a
SunOS inca 5.10 Generic_118833-36 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-Enterprise
/usr/local/bin/perl -v
This is perl, v5.8.3 built for sun4-solaris


Recently I've been getting an odd error that I can't make sense of.

Your "cron" job on inca
/usr/local/bin/perl /home/003/p/pa/pauls/mcafee_upd.pl

produced the following output:

There's a new superdat!
Fetching the new superdat from NAI
Read error (Connection reset by peer) in headers.

11:43:18 URL:http://download.nai.com/products/licensed/superdat/english/intel/sdat5029.exe [17120168/17120168] -> "sdat5029.exe" [2]

Changing permissions on the file sdat5029.exe
Deleting the old files from netid01, netid02 and netid03.

These errors come from this section of the script:

my $secure = new File::Remote (rsh => "/usr/local/bin/ssh -i \"$home$key\"", rcp => "/usr/local/bin/scp -i \"$home$key\"");

       print "Deleting the old files from netid01, netid02 and netid03.\n";
       $secure->unlink("netid01:/opt/mcafee/windows/sdat*");
       $secure->unlink("netid02:/opt/mcafee/windows/sdat*");
       $secure->unlink("netid03:/opt/mcafee/windows/sdat*");

Any idea where to look for the cause of this error? The script is working as expected. I'm just anal about tracking down errors.
