Hard to say what exactly went wrong. It looks like you're having troubles that need to be resolved manually. Maybe fedora has a newer Scalar::Util for you that you did not install? Maybe try to install a fresh, self-compiled Compress::Zlib first? If CPAN.pm cannot do it for you, maybe 'o conf dontload_list Compess::Zlib' can help there. If this doesn't help you probably need to remove the fedora zlib packages and retry. -- andreas
