Hi Jon,


Thanks for your advice.


To my surprise it becomes normal now.  I did not perform further to
correct the problem.  I think it was;

cpan[1]> o conf urllist push ftp://myurl/


did it for me.


However each time running;

# perl -MCPAN -e shell
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.

The annoying warning popup.  I'm now googling around for a solution to
get it out permanently
