One of my potential weekend projects (after patching CPAN::Reporter and Test::Reporter) is to write a CPAN Testers nag-bot that checks for reports sent with out-of-date tools and emails authors (probably only once a day) with a reminder to upgrade. I want to shorten the upgrade cycle when we fix false-positive bugs and automated alerts seemed like it would help. And yes, I appreciate the irony of the situation. ("Your FAIL is full of FAIL") But maybe I'll finally learn some POE... More seriously, if I manage to find the time to get it done, it could potentially be used for author notification of reports as well, sparing Barbie more work on the DB end of things. It could be interesting to have the two in one place, such that authors only get notified of FAIL if a tester is using up to date tools. That would hopefully maximize false alarm filtering. -- David
