My first and most important thought is: to please provide a tool that
will take all my related, scattered, config-like files (that you plan
to replace), and one by one, parse them and output them into your new
format on sysout, and comment the new format output- with where the
file should live in the default organization.  Then I will look over
all these outputs, and knit together "one ring to rule them all".

Why, you ask?  Well, there is a little story about that.  Not that I
am any kind of master, but few of us here are novices- certainly, not
you.

The Zen of Programming (Paperback)

by Geoffrey James

"Curse these personal computers!" cried the novice in anger, "To make
them do anything I must use three or even four editing programs. This
is truly intolerable!" The master programmer stared at the novice.
"And what would you do to remedy this state of affairs?" he asked. The
novice thought for a moment. "I will design a new editing program," he
said, "a program that will replace all these others." Suddenly the
master struck the novice on the side of his head. "What did you do
that for?" exclaimed the surprised novice. "I have no wish to learn
another editing program," said the master. And suddenly the novice was
enlightened.
