Greets, I've been getting a lot of reports truncated to 50k with "unknown" outcomes. As of this moment, here's the tally from the CPAN testers page for KinoSearch 0.30_02:
<http://www.cpantesters.org/distro/K/KinoSearch.html#KinoSearch-0.30_02?grade=1&perlmat=2&patches=2&oncpan=2&distmat=3&perlver=ALL&osname=ALL> PASS 23 FAIL 0 N/A 6 UNKNOWN 9 The problem is that the KinoSearch distro just has a very involved and lengthy build process -- there are something like 400 C files that have to be compiled, including 200 or so that are autogenerated at build time. A websearch on 'cpan testers 50k' unearthed the following: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00728.html> The 50k cutoff is a CPAN::Reporter thing to try to cut down on the load on the perl.org mailing list servers. It's on the Todo list to give the first 25k and last 25k instead of just truncating. That will cut down on stuff but still show the error at the end. There are some aspects of the KinoSearch build process where I can streamline the output, but I don't think bringing it under 50k is going to be feasible. So, it would be really nice to get 25k + 25k happening, if indeed there's no way I can address the 50k truncation issue from my end. Cheers, Marvin Humphrey
