a) I am not able to replicate my hand.
On short track starting test using DBD-SQLite everything is fine.
On long track starting with DBIx-Class it results in an update to
perl-5.8.9.

b) No, as far as I know. Every module is build again and not reused.

c) Yes, but every copy with it's own tree, something like
/home/test/perl-x.x.x-yyy/.cpan/

I searched my full logs for other NA/FAIL combination and wasn't
successful until now. Maybe this speaks for your theory of autoinstall
triggering the problems. ;-)
