The guid, which is in the cpanstats database is used to reference the
NNTPID via David's CPAN::Testers::Common::Utils module. However, the ID
in the cpanstats database is the one used on www.cpantesters.org to
reference the correct report. This is necessary as shortly we will have
two feed points, NNTP and the Metabase. The former is to be switched
off.

Soon the GUID will be the unique reference on www.cpantesters.org. This
is currently being worked on, and I hope to have it live within the next
few days. You can then take the NNTPID you currently have & turn it into
a GUID using David's module above.
