I happened to notice this afternoon that the Ubic distribution is adding a script to the crontab of the user that is running the smoke testing.
-bash-4.1$ crontab -l * * * * * ubic-watchdog ubic.watchdog >>/dev/null 2>>/dev/null -bash-4.1$ I have found this on all my smokers so far. I am removing the crontab entry and adding the test account on each machine to the list of users denied crontab access. This seems to be /var/cron/deny on a lot of OS, but consult local documentation to be sure.
