Hi Ken, My apologies, I misread your mail, and thought you meant the post on blogs.perl.org. I've approved your post and you, so in future you won't be moderated. Sadly we get a lot of spam on blogs.cpantesters.org.
With regards to your post, the problem I have is that Rocky's taken a very negative stance against testers/smokers if things go wrong, and he assumes that we don't care. He makes claims that are either untrue or without substance. In terms of smokers going wrong, then we do want to know about it, so we can fix them, but I've not seem him post on the mailing list, and I haven't had an email from him or his friend, who claims to have asked me to delete a report. His post seems to be based on a completely misunderstanding of what CPAN Testers is about, hence why I wrote my post to try and clarify what we are not. As mentioned in my post, I'm working on the Admin site that will hopefully be a means to resolve a lot of these bad smoker reports for authors and testers. However, I am strongly against rating any testers and/or smoker, as that will not encourage anyone new to get involved, and existing testers may find it less encouraging to suddenly get extremely bad ratings, while having produced great reports for several years. If bad reports show up, we want to fix that, not down-vote the tester for bug in their smoker. Cheers, Barbie.
