If you have installed XSConfig 6.05 on your smoker, it's very likely the smoker is broken for all forms of 'perl Makefile.PL&&make'. This is most probably also true for some previous version of XSConfig. I have cancelled all my smoking and am restarting with fresh perls right now and would recommend you to make sure your smokers are not affected. -- andreas
