It looks like libstdc++ is under /usr/local/lib, since that's where gcc
lives. I have a similar configuration on my Solaris box, and the solution
was to do this:
$ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
$ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
You can recognize this failure pattern if only tests 3, 9 and 12 fail --
those are the three which use 'cout', available in libstdc++.
