This is a reminder that a mirroring of this directory should be set up. But it does not work. Here is the last message I have seen from PAUSE: On Fri, Jul 20, 2001 at 12:57:28PM +0200, PAUSE wrote: > The mirror program running on PAUSE triggered this email. > Please complain if it is not appropriate for some reason. > Virtually Yours, > Id: mirrormail.pl,v 1.24 1999/08/08 12:51:36 k Exp k > > > file: $CPAN/authors/id/I/IL/ILYAZ/os2/tk/binary/Tk-800.012-bin-00-os2.zip > size: 2268261 bytes > md5: 0ff96a6b99d102cb7654c0d132b30bc5 > > Mirrored ILYAZ (ftp.math.ohio-state.edu:/pub/users/ilya/perl -> >/home/ftp/pub/PAUSE/authors/id/I/IL/ILYAZ) @ Fri Jul 20 12:57:26 CEST 2001 > Failed to get modules/Bundle-OS2_default-1.04.tar.gz: 200 PORT command successful. > Failed to get modules/Math-Pari-2.010100.tar.gz: 150 Opening BINARY mode data >connection for modules/Bundle-OS2_default-1.04.tar.gz (1282 bytes). > Failed to get os2/5.005_53+/modules/Crypt-0.01-bin-00-os2.zip: 200 PORT command >successful. > Failed to get os2/5.005_53+/modules/OpenGL-0.4-bin-00-os2.zip: 426 Data connection: >Connection reset by peer. > Got os2/tk/binary/Tk-800.012-bin-00-os2.zip 2268261 Note "Failed", but no failure explanation. I've never seen failure reports from anything but PAUSE. Moreover, I suspect that in addition to these spurious failures (note that one of fetches succeeded), there is some kind of auto-increasing delays after a failure. When this can make sense for complete failures, it does not sense for partial failures (as above). Is there a way to reset this delay to "the initial value", so that the missed file have a chance to "pass through the system"? Ilya
