Thats fine then, we lost :->

I don't know how. If you were a C programmer, you could tinker around with
it, your experience with mmap etc. :)

Current versions will fall back to malloc (so loose any protection) in
case mmap fails. Or at least should fall back, so it might not be an
issue, and who cares enough wether you have overrun protection or less
memory use on osx will surely find a way to fix it :)
