I don't have access to as sun box. Would you be kind enough to runt the attached lock test file and email me the results. If any other testers have solaris or VMS, I'd appreciate the results from there as well. gzip -d lockchck.gz perl lockchck it will write two empty test files and print to the screen. On sun I expect both failure and success lines. On platforms that implement "flock" all lines should be success.
