One or two authors seem to. The vast majority don't.
That particular report came from a list of all the distributions on the
CPAN (or at least, what looked like the most recent version of each
distribution) at some point in August when I decided to test the
"back-catalogue". I've tested stuff from 99% of the 6400+ authors on
that list now, and exactly *two* of them have thrown a screaming
tantrum. I would guess that apart from those two, maybe 20 or 30 have
grumbled at me about testing old versions, and they've all have accepted
my apologies gracefully.
Actually, one of those screaming tantrums was to do with the most recent
version of his module not working, if I remember correctly.
