DBI is getting a bit weighty for the bootstrapping kit.  I suppose you 
could make it a two-stage thing.  Perhaps the entry point is a short 
index of client tools which are themselves able to fetch the bigger 
index(es).

It is a generated thing, right?  I somewhat like the idea of it being 
able to have more than one format.  Piecewise updates would be grand.

On a related note, I'm really liking mongodb.
