Yesterday I uploaded Perl5-TestEachCommit-0.06.tar.gz to CPAN. PAUSE
confirmed the upload at Mon Oct 20 23:16:51 2025 UTC, and the tarball is
available at https://www.cpan.org/authors/id/J/JK/JKEENAN/Perl5-
TestEachCommit-0.06.tar.gz.
However, when I update my local minicpan repository, the latest version
of this distro is only 0.05, from Sep 9.
My upload is not appearing at https://metacpan.org/recent.
And this distro is not appearing in *any* version https://metacpan.org/
author/JKEENAN. Nor is it locatable via https://metacpan.org/search?
size=20&q=Perl5%3A%3ATestEachCommit.
The distro is installable from CPAN and I can generate CPANtesters
reports on such installations. However, the "Perl patch/RC" column at
http://fast2-matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Perl5-
TestEachCommit;perl=5.43.4;reports=1 is blank.
And at https://metabase.cpantesters.org/tail/log.txt, the entry for my
latest report on this distro is showing [/] where it should be showing
[JKEENAN/Perl5-TestEachCommit-0.06.tar.gz].
Prerequisites for this distro do appear to be correctly reported at
https://metabase.cpantesters.org/tail/log.txt
(Above was also reported at irc.perl.org #metacpan at approx 800 EDT Oct
21 2025)
As of Oct 22 2025 12:59 EDT, metacpan is now displaying the CPAN module
I cited above:
https://metacpan.org/dist/Perl5-TestEachCommit
It is also visible in the list of recent uploads:
https://metacpan.org/recent
And it is accessible when I perform a 'minicpan' update.
However, when I go to https://metabase.cpantesters.org/tail/log.txt, I
still see this string:
[/]
196 times out of 1000 distros-reported-upon. Example:
[2025-10-22T16:59:18Z] [Chris Williams (BINGOS)] [pass] [/]
[x86_64-linux-thread-multi] [perl-v5.28.0]
[72b0ebaa-af68-11f0-a3bc-a055f9c4ba34] [2025-10-22T16:59:18Z]
... which happens to be a report on Mojolicious:
https://www.cpantesters.org/cpan/report/72b0ebaa-af68-11f0-a3bc-a055f9c4ba34
Can anyone describe what is happening here?
