-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all !
Here we are. CPSPortlets / CPSSkins are now shipped during default installation. (if you want to !) Note about installations : - ---------------------------- When you create a brandly new CPDefault Site, you have now one more option for your interface : - CPSPortlets / CPSSkins. It installs both CPSPortlets and CPSSkins with a default portlet setup. - CPSBoxes It's deprecated but it's the way we choose to keep backward compatibility. (CPSBoxes will be kept until 3.5.x branches) Note about upgrade : - ----------------------- If you have an old CPS instance running and you want to upgrade to 3.3.x releases : no problem ! The installer will check if you are upgrading. If so nothing will be removed and you'll keep your old installation with boxes the way it was before the upgrade. We encourage you to migrate your current boxes to portlets. The stable 3.4.x will be still compatible. 3.5.0 will drop boxes definitely. You can still use products using boxes even with a new CPS instance by choosing boxes during installation time. Some Products are mandatory now : - CPSNavigation - CPSRSS Status : - ---------- It's not yet a 'full' portlets environnement. Some of the boxes features are still in use. We will fix this asap. If you want to check the issues still remaining check bugzilla : http://bugs.nuxeo.com/bugzilla/ CPS-3.4 is coming :) If some of you want to try the CVS snasphot and report bugs it will be really appreciated :) Special thanks to Jean-Marc for his amazing work on CPSSkins ! I'm really happy to have CPSSkins finally shipped by default on CPS.
