Hi Paul, and lists!
Julien talked me into having a CPSSkins UI panel during the Z3ECM Sprint
at EuroPython2005.
I'm sure many others will be interested.
There will be:
- brainstorming, use cases: what do we expect from a theme & portlet engine?
- ergonomy issues
+ the number one issue is that it should be easy to manage for end-users,
+ flexible enough so that web-programmers don't feel that they'd better
be off with hacking CSS / XHTML.
- design issues:
+ relation management to improve flexibility - comparisons with
existing approaches
(I've started working on formalising relations
http://svn.nuxeo.org/trac/pub/file/z3lab/cpsskins/trunk/relations.py /
http://svn.nuxeo.org/trac/pub/file/z3lab/cpsskins/trunk/ontology.py )
+ User interface, what Javascript / XML libraries can we use to
improve ergonomy, user experience ..?
+ Performance, caching strategies ...
- import / export of data (what format ?)
- hands-on
- ...
Best regards /JM
