I want to get rid of "last modified ..."
You should edit the layout of the document you are viewing. To get the list of
layout of a document go to portal_types/manage_main (ZMI) and click on your type
eg 'Section' and then look at the layout list.
Then go to portal_layout/manage_main and edit the layouts you want to change.
