The trunk might not be 100% stable all the time.
http://buildbot.nuxeo.org/ is a good indicator.

You should be able to use a released version CPS-3.4.x to
achieve what you want.

You can for example create an import step,
just like the various import step in CPSDefault.

This makes it possible to simply execute python code.

cf.
http://svn.nuxeo.org/trac/pub/browser/CPS3/products/CPSDefault/trunk/profiles/default/import_steps.xml
http://svn.nuxeo.org/trac/pub/browser/CPS3/products/CPSDefault/trunk/exportimport.py

Note that in
http://svn.nuxeo.org/trac/pub/browser/CPS3/products/CPSDefault/trunk/profiles/default/roots.xml
the portal_type attribute is used for CPS objects, while
the meta_type attribute is used for Zope objects such as your DBR_data.

This may be the cause of your problem.
