Hello everyone,
CPS 3.5.0 very near
----------------------------
last week saw the main blocker issue for a release of CPS trunk been
fixed (http://svn.nuxeo.org/trac/pub/ticket/2004).
Therefore, we are planning to release 3.5.0 next week-end, and I am
thereby declaring a feature freeze on the whole of CPS.
Dowload the RC and test it (not for production !)
----------------------------------------------------------------
In the meanwhile, to fix things a bit, I tagged a release candidate.
You can get it there:
http://www.racinet.org/cps/CPS-3.5.0rc.tgz
We are of course encouraging anybody to download and install it. The
targetted Zope versions are 2.9.7 to 2.9.10.
Important note: a few days ago, I switched the default theme rendering
system to CPSDesignerThemes. Those willing to test an existing
instance will have either to go through the theme export process, or
simply disable CPSDesignerThemes. In both cases, check
CPSDesignerThemes/doc to learn how.
Feature and bugfix information
------------------------------------------
3.5.0 will bring a bunch of new features. We will probably highlight
the most important after the final release.
For now, you can get information about the 3.5.0 milestone, browse
tickets, etc. in the project manager (trac).
http://svn.nuxeo.org/trac/pub/milestone/CPS%203.5.0
Note that the vast majority of the remained tickets will be
rescheduled or simply closed in the release process. There are
obviously lots of outdated tickets in the bug tracker.
Also, the changelog produced by the packaging script (bundleman) is
online here:
http://www.racinet.org/cps/changelog_347_350.txt
Note that this is from the time the 3.4 branch has been derived from
the trunk (3.4.7), hence changes that made it to 3.4.9 are also
reported.
For those wanting to compare, the changelog from 3.4.7 to 3.4.9 is here:
