Thank you Jean Marc, I tried updating the portlet catalog but it didn't solve the problem. I was able anyway to fix it just looking around... I found that inside .cps_portlets was still present a language selector portlet that I had deleted using cpsskins. Deleting that portlet from the ZMI solved the problem.
