Hi,
After a while, I was able to put CPSLDAPSetup to work.
Now, I've noticed that when using it, users can't enable
webmail anymore.
If I create a new site not using CPSLDAPSetup, an user can go
the Preferences and enable webmail; when using CPSLDAPSetup, that
option isn't there.
Do I need any special config in CPSLDAPSetup to enable this? Is
this a bug?
How to fix it?
Thanks
Hi,
check if you have the webmail_enabled widget in the "members"
layout. If it isn't there, create it. Also, check the layout of the
"members" layout and add a row for the webmail_enabled widget.
I would bet that the widget exists, but it's missing from the
layout. The reason is that the <table><row>...</row></table>
definition from the layouts/members.xml file overwrite the previous
layout definition (see https://svn.nuxeo.org/trac/pub/ticket/1542
for the possible reason for this).
Yes, but it's not the only reason.
To summarize, both CPSMailAccess and CPSLDAPSetup profiles were
designed at a time where there wasn't enough flexibility to have each
one behave nicely with respect to the other. As an end result, both
almost rewrite the members layouts and schemas from scratch.
The issue described in the ticket was one in the way of updating the
profiles, which is what remains to be done.
Well, that and ticket #1425.
