Hello,

Until now, I haven’t done an official presentation of our organization. I beg your pardon about that.

My name is Juan Lago and I work as a Project and R+D Coordinator in IAVANTE Foundation (for Technological Advancement and Professional Development). IAVANTE aims to position new didactic methodologies and technologies within the field of health care education and collaborate in large-scale studies and extensive research projects by providing methods and technologies. IAVANTE is a public organization that depends on Andalusia Public Health System (South Spain).

IAVANTE also supports programmes for implementing improvements in the health care services by providing the technologies we use and develop. Related to this point, we have been using CPS for a year and a half to deploy collaborative portals to physicians and resident physicians, integrating and developing advanced communications services like multi-videoconferencing, presence, instant messaging, and movile services (SMS, MMS, movile skins,…). Our IT department has been growing during the last year and we are now more than 20 co-workers, some of them are well known in CPS lists (reporting bugs, making questions and proposing ticket solutions). Here you are a small roster:

-          José Luis de la Rosa

-          Alberto Porras

-          José Antonio Martín

-          Daniel de la Cuesta

-          Jose Jiménez

-          Miguel Sánchez

-          Rubén Carreño

-          Antonio Muñoz

-          Carmen López

Most of then are working, in more or less degree, with CPS. And we will continue developing with CPS for a period of time (we have to recover our long time learning investment on Zope, CMF and CPS). In fact, as you now, we have recently asked Nuxeo some SVN accounts to contribute.

On the other hand, we understand the reasons why Nuxeo have switched to Java technologies and we wish you all the best in this new stage. As I said before, at this moment we are going to continue our work with CPS but we will also pay attention to Nuxeo 5 evolution (both Nuxeo EP and Nuxeo RCP). Internally we are also considering using and integrating some Java Open Source projects, so we don’t rule out to contribute to Nuxeo 5 (may be next year?).

Well that’s all. Now you know something more about us.

Yours faithfully

Asunto: [Ecm] 50 subscribers to the mailing list :)

We have just passed the 50 subscribers mark, so let's take 5 minutes to celebrate ;)

...

OK, about 20 of us are from Nuxeo and 5 from some of our well-known partners, but who are the remaining 25?

Would you like to share with us the reasons you joined the mailing list? Do you have plans to contribute to the project? To use it in the future (when it's ready, obviously)? Are you involved in competing projects and spying on us ;) (well obviously in that case you won't speak up)?

And also:

Are you more interested in Nuxeo EP or Nuxeo RCP? Do you have needs that you would like to discuss with us in the list? What do you think of the proposed architecture?

Feel free to speak up. We'll have a second celebration the day the first person who is not from Nuxeo, and not Jean-Marc, will write the first post in this mailing list ;)

Cheers,

  S.
