After changing to CPS 3.4, I have seen that all our workspaces no longer
default to be shown in the [URL]/folder_view style, but rather in the
style of [URL]/folder_contents. This means that the two semi-fictional
URLs [1] and [2] would provide the same view of the folder, whereas [3]
gives the "normal" view, which I would like to be the default when URL
[1] is entered.

[2] http://terravision.no/workspaces/members/harg/folder_contents
[3] http://terravision.no/workspaces/members/harg/folder_view
(PS. That site is not operational; we're using another site for
day-to-day business needs.)
My question is this: Where can I change which of these "view styles" (in
lack of a better word) is used as a default when the base URL for a
workspace (*any* workspace, please) is used? I've tried looking in both
each workspace's portlet management, and in the ZMI (where I never seem
to be able to find anything without a precise guide!), so ... I'll be
thankful for any kind of helpful response! :-)
Hi,
This behaviour is achieved using CMF aliases: the different views, and
in particular the default view, can be controled on the portal type.
In the ZMI, you can go to: portal_types > Workspace, then click on the
"aliases" tabs, and set the alias "(Default)" to "folder_view" instead
of "folder_contents".
This will change the behaviour for all documents with this portal type.
Note that this setting is already used for Section types.
Regards,
