SWIFT Selects Datakey's PKI Smart Card Technology
SWIFT, a leader in secure global financial messaging, has selected
Datakey's PKI Smart Card technology to bundle with its SWIFTAlliance
WebStation product.
SWIFT delivers secure messaging services to over 7,000 financial
organisations in 192 countries.
The SWIFTAlliance WebStation is SWIFT's strategic interface platform
targeted at supporting communications over SWIFTNet its new private IP
infrastructure that enables interactive messaging, interactive file
transfer and information browsing in a fully managed and secure
environment.
Datakey Smart Cards, readers and interface software were selected
for the SWIFTAlliance WebStation to provide cryptographic and portable
security for digital credentials used to authenticate and verify the
identities of financial institutions and customers communicating over
SWIFTNet.
