Extortion is theft by threat. The fact that it is done via speech or not
is irrelevant. It is the use of force that makes this a crime, not the
mechanism of that force.

The threat is the crime, not how it was delivered. To look at it otherwise
is to admit, unintentionaly and openly, that under some situations you
believe that such an action is justified. I'm sure money or politics will
have a large factor in that decision to boot. It also demonstrates that
you believe not only in angels among men, but that you are one of those
angels.
