I have some, though thankfully not very much, experience in this
area. So far, the data support the theory that lawyers who charge
more per hour usually wind up solving the problem for less money.
(where "money" includes what you'd have otherwise had to pay
someone else, or in taxes, or whatever).
Sure it's a ripoff. But lawyers fees appear to be the smaller
of the possible ripoffs you can suffer in the system as set up.
