Dear Vickram, CR stations are required to store their programmes for three months.
I don't think we need to vet all programmes to ensure that they meet the (government's) norms. The 'self-regulation mechanism', as described in the Content Code, is more like the Press Council that steps in only when a complaint is lodged. All the same, a multi-lingual peer group that continually monitors CR programmes and provides feedback may not be a bad idea. As you say, the getting all CR channels online would be quite a challenge.
