<Late reply: Sorry, I'm just catching up on a few older digests> Arti, I moved to India because the FM station I joined said they were going to be India's NPR station. HAH! Enough said.
I am working with two community radio groups in Mumbai and since they are urban, my goal is to make them as NPR like as possible within the confines of the CR guidelines. Also, with news being allowed on radio, my hope is that FM stations will at least be open to more feature style story packages like a few of us (my company Sonologue - www.sonologue.com) are already doing and pushing for out of India. Cheers, Chhavi p.s. new podcast on the state of radio goes live today. You can hear it in a few hours.
