Is the Community Radio Forum, and you Stalin, willing now to support the demand for delicensing of low power FM, as some of us have been asking for years now? CB radio, which is 2 way, does not require a license upto 5 Watts, provided you do not interfere with a licensed broadcaster. Same holds for WiFi. Why can't we do this in FM? Such a transmitter costs almost nothing, so people can set up pilot plants at little risk. If they find success, they can go for a license and increase range, but for many villages, 5 Watts will suffice, particularly if the recipients are willing to use external antennas.
