WPC allots 90.8 FM to Mumbai CR Jago Mumbai

According to a report published in RadioAndMusic.com, WPC has now allocated the
new CR station 90.8 Mhz, instead of the earlier allocation already being used
by Mumbai University's station located a few km away.

Needless to say, there is no mention of compensation to either station for the
mess-up.

Also needless to say, there are better ways to ensure stations in one city can
deliver FM to their audiences without interfering with each other, but we are
forced to trust in WPC's competence, demonstrated for this forum so openly. For
those who are recent listmembers, a senior WPC member assured this writer
solemnly at a public hearing a few years back that New York city has 72 FM
stations because half of them are underground. Literally underground, he meant,
broadcasting for subway riders.
