Dear all, I was working on the CR News and looking for the latest CR related news, online. Found this story about Sangam Radio completing three years of Broadcasting. The story figured in the district plus page of The Hindu. Please see the link below:
http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-features/tp-districtplus/article2565877.ece Also a reminder to all of us that the CR policy has completed five years today (the cabinet approval was announced on 16th November 2006, I think). Time for some introspection and retrospection to see if we are moving in the right direction, I suppose. We at the University here get several queries and there are people who drop in asking about setting up CR stations, the process and all. A revival of awareness workshops may be useful for interested people to get helpful information. Last week in Goa, the Xavier's College people were also sharing their story of the delay in SACFA clearance and other related issues that came up in the December 2010 consultation. Not many people are sure where to seek help - CRF? CEMCA? Ministry? Looks like the licensing process is a deterrent for many and needs to be streamlined further. Looking forward to more activity on the CR front in the years to come. Best wishes, Kanchan -- Dr. Kanchan K.
