My advice yould be to check the archives of both Crash-List 1 and CL-talk at
the end of may and in the beginning of June and maybe a little later. There's
some speculation of ours (and of mine notably) on that subject. What I still find
lacking as a basis for a good discussion of that is good definitions of
"feudalism" and "capitalism" that are functional (I mean which would allow us
to draw lines in history). That said, I didn't even read Perelman yet!
