I don't think anyone is saying this, but rather (something I am not
convinced of, but I'll just lurk on the other points) that it was a bullet
train through the bourgeois revolution, rather than the horse and buggy
approach, exemplified by modern India for example.

hmmm..... Thinking on the notion for now.
