Climate change you said?
I don't know if we can wait for the high skilled analysis of climatological
institutes or if we can said climate change is here yet, in our land, in
our day by day living...
I'm living in Belgium since 8 years now after living 7 years in Mexico and
the other 25 in France, Spain and Italy...
What I can say is the Belgium climate is now almost like the Mexican one,
this summer 2000 is the historical record of less hours of sun, exactly
like during the rain season in tropical areas: one or two hours of sun in
the morning, then the day turn grey and hot, thus in the middle of the
afternoon a serie of short and heavy rains during three or four hours and a
beautiful sun at the end of the day, around seven to height o'clock p.m....
This is have nothing to do with usual Belgium weather.
In the other hand, Indian and Pakistan are suffering the worst droughts
they have ever seen, blazes are everywhere, in Spain, south of France,
USA...
My idea is to confront our local experiences and confirm we are really
living a climate change on prime time!!
Have you any other experience that can confirm this?
Thus we should ask ourselves: Is the new economy based on domestic
consumption growth the worst path to find solutions to the several
contemporaneous problems: increasing gap in between rich and poor people,
climate change, digital divide, pandemies, etc? And, if there is no
solution to stop this mad race, is the full system going to crash when
we'll arive at the end of the consumption dream?
Some solutions are appearing, SP is one of them.

convinced that if there is a solution it should be based on the cooperation
of everyone who want a positive change.
