Here I wasn't so much describing non-marxism as I was accusing you of
simple
intellectual failure. "Protestant Ethic" simply does not explain
anything
but is merely a good example of the use as explanation of the very facts
needing
to be explained. It names a cluster of ideas and feelings. It does
nothing else
*but* name them. It is that cluster you need to explain. But instead of
offering
an explanation you are merely asserting that the Protestant Ethic causes
the
Protestant Ethic. That is intellectual garbage, and so the question of
whether
it's marxist or not is irrelevant.
