Nestor I only just noticed this message of yours now. Is the book that you mention "The National Question"? If so I will dig it out because I have it in my possession I think - I read it about eight or nine years ago at a time when I was much more impressed by that sort of thing than I am now. It would be interesting to take another look at it in the light of these debates I'm sure. If I feel "demolished" by it I will let you know. By the way if the text that you are referring to is a different one I'd be glad to know. Tahir >>> "Nestor Miguel Gorojovsky" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 08/27 1:16 AM >>> I would suggest Tahir Wood to seriously read Jim Blaut's demolition of the views exposed by Tom Nairn on the Third World, and after that to try to rebuild his own conception of the issue from scratch. This would be very helpful for me, since I do not have time to write down something that has already been explained. So that it is the envy of petty bourgeoisies which gives rise to Third World national revolutions... Yes, some American imperialists have told me so. But I still do not cling to that idea.
