I completely agree with you on this. What we need for our kids--ALL our
kids--is some pathway to education no matter where they have to start from.
First, a way to identify the ones who really have the drive to learn, and
Second, a way to get them onto that path.
What we need is the means to find them.
What they need is the access.
Then we hope that some of the others, seeing that they are being left behind,
run alongside to catch up, because they are seeing the possibilities.
This is the way we can use carrots.
