Dear Nestor,
I am already crying , seeing police and civils fighting and my countryman
being hurt or killed over and over again. As I have already said to you, I
am neutral, and I am not supporting neither the opposition nor Milosevic
>I wish you will not have to weep red tears in the future, and at
>least I hope you remember my warnings, and reconsider your current
>positions.
I am , once again, neutral and I am not aligned.
I was equating, in part of the text you were citing, reducing of electricity
performed by NATO to scare civilians, and the reduction of electricity
performed by Milosevic, performed for the same purpose.
Please, dear Nestor, don't tell me that you are cheering or approving this
move? You know that I am very fond of you, and that I respect you very, very
much. The fact that our visions and political agendas are different does not
alter anything; I hope that you have the same respect towards your young
friend over here. Believe me, and you know my "recommendations", that this
what Milosevic is doing is not and cannot be justified. My life here is a
disaster, I am living on a 50 dm per month. I am sure, more than sure,
convinced is the most palatable word, that under neoliberal yoke it is going
to be the same. And, as long as I live, I am not going to forget or pardon
NATO crimes in my country. But this cannot be a justification for Milosevic,
his enormous wealth, brutality of his police towards children, primitive
manipulations I am witnessing everyday. You are, just like me, coming from a
country with a very rich, diverse and "exciting" history. There is a strong,
unrecognizable pattern in this little village of ours, local flavor and
context which permits no analogies and needs a very deep and sharp insight;
distance is an enemy you cannot win , while reflecting Yugoslavian troubles.
I am grateful, as always, for your solidarity.
Resistance, not support,
                   Andrej

Milosevic government has started to punish people by reductions of
electric energy; I hope that you realize, now, my equidistance
towards NATO terrorists and this pathetic little dictator.

Dear Andrej,

I am sorry that you consider "equidistance" to equate a reduction of
electric power with military and financial invasion of your country.
There is no place for equanimity there. I am truly, truly, very
sorry.

I wish you will not have to weep red tears in the future, and at
least I hope you remember my warnings, and reconsider your current
positions.

A hug in distress,
