No , it was wrongly interpretated. Joanna is a co founder of Women in Black
and not myself. Jared, I understand that you are frustrated because of this
circus in my country. But could you please drop the subject? Why are you so
insisting so much? You know perfectly well my positions and you know that I
am very far ( far left) from WIB from Yugoslavia, who are very different
from other branches of this noble organization ( they have supported
Izetbegovic and actively supported one side in the war while we were against
the war per se)....
You are speaking about my country without even a word of knowledge when
language is concerned. You cannot handle first hand sources, you cannot read
Yugoslav literature, news / only official one/ , you can't "smell" Yugoslav
reality. Have you ever been here during Milosevic's reign? Have you ever
been here at all?
You are not less imperialist than imperialist you are criticizing. You are
an "activist imperialist" and they are "mainstream imperialists" - pushing,
both of you, your own agenda before Yugoslav people. Leave us, finally ,
alone! Or learn the language, do some serious -and not publicist- researches
and let this simple information in your stubborn activist head: supporting
Milosevic was the thing that have destroyed antiwar movement! If you want to
participate in it's re birth, leave Saddam, Quadaffi, Milosevic, and the
others alone and concentrate on the Resistance. Make yourself useful. I
admire your energy but it is harmfully misdirected and misleading. And your
"debate" with me is also a waste of time: it is not possible to convince a
man who suffered a lot under NATO bombings and under Milosevic cruel reign
that Milosevic is innocent and that world politics is maniheistic picture of
good vs. evil. Can't you see that you are following the same logic as
mainstream mandarins do? John Wayne logic of cowboys and Indians, my dear
Jared, if world politics is such an easy composition, list like this
wouldn't exist....It is always more complicated and more complex than "good
oppressed leader vs. bad oppressing leaders". This logic was an obstacle for
creating anti imperialist movement and it is time to abandon it.
Listen to my well minded advice: if you want to become an expert for
Yugoslav or Balkan maters, you have to re-build your credibility and to
start learning the language, applying serious methodology and serious
ethical principles. Otherwise serious radical intelligentsia is going to
treat you as they are doing now: irresponsible, and unreliable activist....
