Precisely what is needed to asses the conjuncture.  But there is also the
question of disciplined struggle.  I've yet to be convinced that there is a
better way to do it than democratic centralism.  This, however, at the
point where our dialogue is, may be an "insider" discussion that will
distract us from what feels like some progress.

I think you are confusing Lenin's theoretical insights with the particular
tactical activity surrounding the SDP then Bolshevik Party.  No one would
suggest we try to replicate the Bolshevik Revolution.
