Why the casual bait? A) I have never been a cheerleader of anything. This
sentence is a perfect illustration of precisely the technique of lying which
I analyzed in the article about which Mark is "commenting." Using this
"if-Jared-is-a-man-he-will-stop-beating-his-wife" method, one takes a lie -
in this case, that I cheerlead for the Serbian socialist party - and states
it in such a way that it seems like an established fact. Thus "if Jared is
NOT MERELY a cheerleader" assumes that I am AT LEAST IN PART a cheerleader.

The article Mark is criticizing, which I will repost in case people missed
it, deals with the current attempt to resurrect the slanders against the
Serbian people. This is being done because NATO is engaged in new slaughter -
that point is stated in the first sentence. In this context, the attempt to
slander Miloshevich as a racist is most important. Miloshevich is
significant not MAINLY as an SPS leader but as one who resisted US domination
of the strategic Balkans, whose conquest is necessary for the next stage of
the US agenda: the former Soviet Union.

B) The choices in life are NOT between being "a revolutionary and a
cheerleader for the SPS." At least, not for me. "Revolutionary" is a much
abused term; mostly, it is prattle used by people with no connection to
ordinary people. At its worst it is a stick with which to beat those who
are actually trying to change people's thinking. Shame on mark to stoop to
this trivial shit.

My pride is this: I expose lies of Empire and I regularly reach huge numbers
of people . Second, I am not or sale. Other than that, I have no
pretensions of being a big revolutionary.

B) We write about many issues other than the slander of Yugoslavia on
Emperor's Clothes; suggested reading list below. That being the case, what is
the meaning of Mark's admonition except that we DROP the issue of Yugoslavia?
If we did that now that the Serbian people are in their darkest hour what
would it show? That we are wretched opportunists, who only care to persevere
when those we write about have some power. THAT would make me a cheerleader,
wouldn't it. Indeed, that is precisely what I was accused of in the last
phase - it was said I was a creature of - the Yugoslav Foreign Office.
Should I desert the Serbian people now that they are paying for having
resisted the British and US empires.

Below are some articles from Emperor's Clothes. Though I am NOT a
"revolutionary" I am proud that these articles reach literally hundreds of
thousands and sometimes millions of people (not just the about 100,000
regular readers of Empeor's Clothes). This broad reach means a little more
of the truth on various subjects gets out. It is odd that mark attempts to
mock this effort.
