Important story, even though Ken Livingstone, one of the best communicators
in British politics, makes many shrewd compromises with finance capital.
On another vein, I was in Paris briefly last week end and was disturbed to
see election posters with the slogan "Immigration Zero".
It is obvious that the Parisian economy, like the London economy, runs to a
large extent on cheap immigrant labour.
How bad is the racist backlash, reactionary and crazy though it is
economically?
