i did find one cool way
i have this
inoremap " ""<LEFT>
inoremap ' ''<LEFT>
inoremap ( ()<LEFT>
inoremap [ []<LEFT>
inoremap { {}<LEFT>
inoremap < <><LEFT>
and that works pretty well.
i don't write a lot of stuff with cream / vim i kinda use JEdit to
start things off, but vim is more fun to edit something with.
